The purpose of the project is to develop an e-commerce website mainly to sell materials ideal for construction of buildings. This site allows builders and contractors to search products/materials from the site and also place orders. This will ease the supply model (Project Management Institute, 2017). Most importantly, the e-commerce website to be developed follows an inventory model where customers can place orders while administrators can update stocks. The site needs to be developed in a period of 6 weeks (42 days) at a budget of $20,000. The budget includes development costs and infrastructure charges.
